- From a construction perspective, what are the construction obstacles for double-skin composite walls (DSCWs) implemented as shear walls? (first picture)
- Are they widely implemented in steel buildings?
- Compared to ordinary RC shred-walls, are they much superior in terms of their strength, ductility, and overall performance?
- could this type of structural elements, "DSCW" be used as an alternative seismic retrofitting/strengthening for mid-rise and tall buildings? instead of exterior steel-net skeleton (see last picture)?
- FEM should be applied to understand their actual behavior (benefits and drawbacks)? or there a developed theory (textbook, manual, or papers)?
