Hi All,

Quick question..I have seen on a P&ID 'EIT'..not sure what that is..any clue what it is and its function? It was related to a piston...

If the P&ID were drawn using the abbreviations in ISA Standard 5.1, that would be a voltage (E) indicating (I) transmitter (T). There might be a voltage developed according to the position of the piston that is transmitted back to a controller or data acquisition card.
