goodday,

i will like to know how to calculate Elastic bend raius allowable of a pipeline.

i will be gratefull if anybody can help me.

Don't know if it still fits to modern pipeline codes, but, rule of thumb back in my pipeline days some 40 years ago, was:
1.5 degree bend per pipe diameter inch​

Translation of this is, a bend of no more than 1.5 degrees could be made every 30 inches of a 30 inch diameter pipe.

The rule applied to all sizes of pipes and the use of the size shown with translation is for application purpose.

Additionally, rule of thumb stated:
No bending allowed within 2.5 diameter inches from the end of a pipe​

This means no bending is allowed within 48 inches of the end of a 24 inch diameter pipe.
