Hello,
for torsional vibration calculations of installations which use belt drives and pulleys for the distribution of power to different equipment, I sometimes need information on the elasticity of a belt. I realize a belt is not a spring, but I assume it can be represented as such, with an average value representing the stiffness of the belt. Has anyone some information on how to calculate or approach such stiffness?
Regards
