Please, does anybody know about a serious, tested, large, data list about compatibility guide between fluids and elastomeric or sealing materials? (ptfe, fluorocarbon,...)

At the moment I use three or four lists and I compare between them. At the end, they never show the same results, so I trust in the less favorable.

Thank you very much.

I use "Chemical Resistance Guide for Elastomers II" by Compass Publications.
- 444 pages
- 3000+ liquid or dry chemicals, gasses, lubricants, household fluids, foods, atmospheres, and other environments are covered.
- 5000 chemical trade names covered.
- 1000+ synonyms of covered chemicals, gases, etc., indexed to page numbers.

It's the best I've seen.

ZZTOP:

The Gates Rubber Company put out the best chemical resistance charts for rubbers that I've seen. It's a brochure entitled "Chemical Resistance Tables of Rubber Linings and Other Materials".

Thanks to everybody. I was using several guides, such us the Green Tweed one, eFunda, and another one from NIBCO. These were for me the most useful, before.

In my humble opinion, the only guys I trust is Parker-Hannifin corporation. I suggest downloading the INPHORM program from their website and ordering a ORD 5700 catalog. You can also contact their laboratories in Lexington, Ky for a particular comment to your application.

Believe me, over twelve (12) years in oilfield equipment design, their efforts have significant yields during my professional career. Cut to the chase, go with the Cadillac and paroose the Parker-Hannifin website!
