I have an application where I need a motor (DC or AC, don't mind!)

It needs to be controlled from some unit/dial with reference to its speed ... probably between 60-600RPM.

It will be used in a dusty environment.

It will be about 50mm (2" in diameter).

I haven't a clue where to start, thats why I am here. I need some guidance - pointers on who to contact in the UK for a single solution.

What I would like to do is to specify a unti which I plug in and play!

Any help?

Start with the basics:

How fast does it rotate?
What torque do you require?
How does the torque vary with speed?
What is your available power source?
What is the dust (explosive / flammable?)
