Electric vs. pneumatic deluge valves

Hello everyone,
I've been looking into deluge valve manufacturers but I'm not clear on the application difference between models that operate solely with electric solenoid actuation and those that have electric solenoid pneumatic actuation. At first view it would seem that pneumatic actuation requires a more complicated arrangement, but what are the advantages?

The pneumatic units need a separate air supply to operate. The hydraulic units use the water supply pressure to operate.

Basically there are two types actuation systems for Deluge Valves:
1. Pneumatically Actuated DV and
2. Hydraulically Actuated DV.

1. Pneumatically Actuated DV:
In these types of DV there is a separate Quartzoid Bulb Detection(QBD) System and spray nozzle network. On reaching the rated temperature the bulb fuses and the pressure in the pneumatic tube drops which allows the DV to open and thus enabling water flow through the spray nozzles.

2. Hydraulically Actuated DV:
In this case the QBD system is integrated with nozzle and is known as Sprinkler system. There is no need of separate pneumatic tubing network. On reaching the rated temperature the bulb fuses and the pressure in the network drops which actuates the pilot line connected to DV via main line and allows DV to open.
