Is there a standard for properly Identifying electrical Panels in a Industrial plant enviroment? I am interested in Panels that are for voltages below 600 VAC.

If the question refers to NEC384-type panelboards, switchboards, {and MCCs} it is trivial to create and maintain panel schedules with a spreadsheet application.

Attach a polypropylene pageholder sleeve to the enclosure with two copies of the schedule. Take one back to the office with marked-up changes and leave one behind until the updated schedules are returned. [Photocopiers are great—it was a lot more work with clearprint forms and ozalid reproductions.]
