I have a onan microquiet 4000 rv generator and it all of a sudden won't run.. It will start but the min you let go of the start switch it kills itself.. Any ideas????

Many generators will not run if there is an engine fault. This could be low oil, over temperature or over speed. It could also be a bad sensor or loose connection on a sensor. It could also be the safety relay holding contact, the stop button contact.

I would check the oil and coolant then break out the multi-meter and start trouble shooting.
