Currently, we are using Chromium-Copper "electrodes" on our projection welding processes. On one of our lines, the electrode also assists in holding the rod to be welded. We have issues with scratches on the rods once welded. Currently, the assosciates dress the electrodes every 200pcs. This works out to a minimum of 8 times per shift. The question of using Beryllium-Copper for our electrodes has sufaced. Is anyone able to provide any feedback...pros/cons...as to the use of Beryllium-Copper.
Thanks
