Dear Sirs,

We are currently working on a project (pressure vessel subject to PWHT, shell thickness 16mm) where the base material is SA-203 Gr D and we dont have any existing WPS/PQR for this grade. The welding engineer in my company has left and there is no right person currently available to seek an advise.

Can someone please advise me what is the SAW and SMAW electrode grades to be used for welding. Searched in google but couldn't find for SAW .For SMAW , found that E8018-C2 can be used.

Looking forward your advises.

Thanking you.

Regards
Jerin

For SAW matching electrode may be ENi3. Refer SFA 5.23 of Part-C of Sec -II, ASME. You need to match composition and tensile strengths of welding electrode and base metal. However it is better to appoint an Welding Engineer for support and supervision.
