Hi All,

I am looking to find some sort of electronic pressure regulator. I am hoping to find something of an electronic regulator, needle valve, or e/p valve. The main goal is to find one under a 100$ as accuracy is not an issue... It is low flow, low pressure (less than 40psi) as well.

I have seen mcmaster-carr, but they want 206$ for a low flow device.

thanks!

I have seen a system that might work for you, depending on what substance you are regulating & pressure & volume involved. Some Porsche Turbos had what is called a frequency valve to limit the Fuel Injection frequency valve on the K Jetronic or CIS. A control unit changed the duty cycle of an injector connected to the warm up regulator and would raise or lower the control pressure.

A simple pressure switch, Op Amp comparator, with maybe a high current transistor to drive the injector, & an injector or solenoid valve would be a simple way to use electricity to bleed off excess presure. But even this could run over your $100 limit by a little.
