Structural

I am wanting to get some test equipment to do some small-scale testing for various structural connections and assemblies that I've dreamed up. I am not wanting to become a certified testing laboratory, but I'd like to get my hands on some decent equipment. I'm basically looking for a data logger, a few load cells and some linear displacement sensors. OMEGA seems to have pretty good pre-sale help but their lead-times for some of the products I'm needing are MONTHS out. I can't wait that long. Can anybody recommend a company to work with who has good products and a good technical service team?

Thanks.

If you are in the US, I can recommend Geokon.

They have an emphasis on geotechnical applications, but many cross over into structural.

I have several of their load cells, both vibrating wire and strain gauge, also strand and rebar strain gauges, a multiplexer, and a data logger. They have supporting data logger software too.

Very helpful staff engineers and quick parts and equipment turnaround.

They have an extensive array of test equipment.

Try Vishay/MicroMeasurements....they have excellent equipment.
