Hay!

Does somebody knows standard which measures electrostatic charge of valve in dynamic state -> between valve openning and clossing btw. valve is working state. I would need this for ATEX,...

I have only found standard for measureing electrostatic charge of valve in static condition EN ISO 80079-36, Part D.

Does sombody perfomred such dynamic ,measurements?

Thanky

T.

As I understand if there's electrical continuity in static and the valve is correctly earthed there will not be static electricity under dynamic conditions. If you have some element that is not conductive and not correctly earthed then you have many limitations. To measure the electrical charge you can send the equipment to some laboratory that can do those tests (Dekra,...).

Hope it helps

I am not aware of any standards that measure static discharge during dynamic movement of valves. Numerous product standards cover measurement of continuity in static state.

Curious why this is an issue. Most valves spend the majority of their life in static situation. Even control valves, if properly tuned and not severely oscillating are essentially static. Ok, maybe some slow, small movement in either direction with the control valve, but still pretty close to static.
