Hello all,

I am interested in electrostatic or electromagnetic voltages generated in non-electrical machines.

I know there were some cases of these in steam turbines that eventually damaged bearings, seals etc.

But I could not find any information about this phenomena in gas turbines, is it possible for static charges to be generated in gas turbines ?

Regards,
Nash

Yes, after a quick internet search.

Try to search for 'electrostatic discharges in gas turbines', or, to catch a wider group of Europeaen articles try to search in German, with google (or other) translation afterwards ('elektrostatisch aufladung und entladung in gas turbinen')
