Electrostatic discharge on painted surfaces

Need to understand better the implication of the Electrostatic discharges and sparks on the painting in the installations of Gas group IIC.

Should the non-mettalic items to be restricted in such atmopsheric installations

Please re-phrase your question. It is not clear what situation (operation, maintenance of an operating plant (outside of the hot pipe?), new construction of a new pipe in an operating plant, or new construction in a new (cold ?) plant is being discussed, nor what fluid, temperature, and type of coating system is your concern.
