Hi!

Is it possible to solve an electrostatic simulation in ANSYS 11 workbench ?
I have complex geometry in Autodesk Inventor,
and want to simulate electrostatic potential
distribution in the gas between the conductors.
How can I do it in ANSYS WB ?

Thanks,
Peter.

Hi Peter,

To solve electromagnetics problems, you need to have the electromagnetics license which is included in the ANSYS multiphysics license. I believe you can solve these types of problems using the workbench interface. I do not have first hand experience with this type of problem. Contact your local sales rep for more information.

Hi,

Yes I have the ANSYS multiphysics, but I can not find
electrostatic simulation in workbench, only magnetostatic.
And of course magnetostatic does not help,
because I have no magnetic fields and electrical currents
in my case, only voltages and electric potential distribution...
