Eliminate 2D drawings using NX/Teamcenter

We are working on ways to eliminate or minimize 2D drawings using PMI views. I was wondering if any of you work for companies that utilize PMI or other methods for the purpose of eliminating drawings. The vision is to view part information with the JT viewer in Teamcenter. Is there a way to view parts with section cuts with PMI on them in the JT viewer? On large assemblies is there a way to bring in objects around them in a PMI view?
