Embed .gp4 file in AutoCad 2004 1

I'm trying to embed a .gp4 file in Autocad 2004. If I insert the file as a raster image there is a path associated with the image peculiar to my computer. If I send the Autocad drawing and the image file in an e-mail, the path is no longer valid for the recipient and the recipient is not necessarily conversant enough with Autocad to change the path. Is there any way to embed the .gp4 file in Autocad so the path is not needed? Or, does anyone know how to open and convert the .gp4 file to a tif or jpeg?

Image files are that way. They stay external. The only thing that I know you can do is to NOT save the path and send the image file with the drawing, to be saved with the drawing in the same folder as the drawing.

Have Image manager open and the select the image in the list, at the bottom where it says "image found at" you need to delete the path and just leave the file name. You must then click "Save Path" to save just the file name. You may get an error message saying invalid path or the like this is ok.
i.e. Instead of P:\11013\CAD\Template\ZA1BDR.tif you will have just ZA1BDR.tif

Another option is when you first insert the image you will need to un-tick the box that says "retain path".

This way when you send it to whom ever as long as they have the image and dwg in the same directory then they will never have a problem.
This to will work for xrefs.
