Hello Engineers,
I am designing an embed stud connection at CMU wall- Headed studs inside wall & plate outside the wall (refer below snap & attachment).
Generally, if the wall is concrete, I would directly design in HILTI Profis suite (with plate & studs embedded inside the concrete wall). Since the wall is CMU, embedding the plate inside the wall is not possible & can't be designed in HILTI Profis. Could someone please advise how to design the embed stud connection in this case?
Maybe I design the studs using profis (all the the CMU blocks will be concrete filled-assuming this would behave as a concrete wall) & plate separately for bending?
FYI, the client doesn't require expansion anchors for this connection.
