EMC test for Faulhaber motor

Dear all,

I am using a linear dc-servomotor LM 0830 from Faulhaber on a surgical device

In the manual they suggest a circuit to ensure electromagnetic suppression and immunity. My questions are:
1) I would like to know from you if there magnetic rod itself can cause troubles to the EMC test. For example, external magnetic fields can affect it. What could I do to prevent it?
2) Is there any other protection circuit/component for my motor systems I can implement?
