Hi everyone,
I have to calculate flow rates from emergency venting for tank wich looks like to a pressure vessel. The tank is supported by legs. The bottom is an ellipsoidal head and the top is a flat head.
Pmax :100mbar
Vaccum : 30 mbar
Temperature : 135 °C

Which code do i use to get it. I think we can't apply API 2000

Thanks.

Check IFC, NFPA, or AHJ. depends upon the fluid class. i ended up using API 2000 for a tank holding a chemical solution (pool fire case) and the client accepted it. for the pool fire case, i had to demonstrate whether or not the existing tank vents were adequate. ended up recommending using existing blinded connections for the emergency vent case.
good luck!

Suggest use of the same code as that which was used for the mechanical design of this vessel or tank.
