EN1591-3:2007 : Error in the standard?

Hello everybody,
I'm working on a special design flange with metal-metal contact.
The flange design comply with ASME VIII div 1, but the effects of the temperature on the parts expansion is critical. (It leaks if we don't consider the temperature effect)
I found the standard EN1591-3 (last version : 2007) which could be very interesting to estimate the effects of the temperature (combined with external forces).
I would like to know if someone has already worked with this standard? I'm confused because I don't find compliant results when I apply the standard:
-> I suspect some errors in the formulas of the standard, what do you think?
-> It would be very interesting for me to get a sample of a calculation note to compare with mine.
-> Do you know a software proposing a calculation according to this standard?
Complementary information: the root purpose is to avoid a FEA study.
Thank you for your help

I have done this before some years ago however I remember it to be quite intensive with respect to the formulas and the variables needed.

Given that the ASME design would not take into account thermal expansion in the same manner is BS EN1591-3, I would not be surprised to find that is not 100% compliant. Is there a particular section that is looking off ?

ASME methods would reference an equivalent pressure method of converting forces and moments to pressure. However, they would not directly tackle the bolt stress/torqueing issue that you seem to be facing. Can you provide any additional details as to what the issue is ?

Wrt software, I don't know of many apart from the Caesar 2 now having a 1591 flange module.
