1. How do I calculate the energy usage of a home appliance? Let's consider Refrigerator or clothes Washer/dryer.

2. How do I calculate the same for the same equipment when regular maintenance is not done? or when it has some fault in it, though not diagnosed yet.

For me the idea is to understand the energy consumed and energy lost by using faulty equipment.

-thanks

The house Watt meter tells the energy consumption of anything in the house. It could also serve to check if the consumptions change with time.
