Engineering application that need high flow rate, let say >60 m/s

Is there any engineering application that need high velocity of flow, let say >60 m/s which uses small pipe/tube(smaller than 20 inch)
Pls provide some background information or web sites.

Waterjet boat propulsion.

LARGE ornamental fountains, such as the one on the Mississippi River front in East St. Louis, IL. This fountain employs a number of 800 hp pumps putting out 400 PSIG pressure that is discharged through a single ~6" nozzle. It was designed to have a height of >600 ft. Depending upon weather conditions, it goes about that high. It tends to look more like a geyser or low cloud rather than a single well formed jet.
