Hi everybody,
By development of mobile hardware and consequently introduction of applications, It seems there should be an "Engineering App" forum besides previous ones. How a forum can be created in Eng-Tips?

I disagree. Tek-Tips is focussed on coding, Eng-Tips is focussed on engineering. Having an Engineering app forum here seems every bit as relevant as a Fortran forum or an Engineering spreadsheets forum, for instance.

How is an app different from a program?

Slower, cumbersome input, and restricted output seems to be the general rule.

But I'm sure there are engineering applications where an app/program on a mobile device is useful.
