So btech is an engineering course in india. My question is does English change in engineering or is it the same as we are taught in 10th and 12th class
Also you mentioned british english is not 100% same as American english. What's the difference between british and american english?

There are many technical terms used in engineering school so you will need to learn those as you progress.

Suggest doing a google search for differences between British and American "english". However, english language terms are not completely consistent across America, they are also not consistent across the UK, and in my experience the "english" taught and used in India is somewhat different than either British or American "english", though tending to be closer to the British version.

I don't think any serious school will require you to already know the material they are supposedly trying to teach you. Any new terminology will be explained and used in context.

If you are from India, then you should already know, things like "boot" instead of "trunk." see for other examples.

Nevertheless, your concern seems odd; did you have the same trepidation going into 10th and 12th class?

TTFN (ta ta for now)
