Is there a way to submit an Enhancement Request directly from the SW interface? I think SW would receive more ER's if you did not have to stop what you are doing, log into the SW site and so on.....

BB,

That would be great and sounds like an ER in itself!

Updraft,

This will probably be a case of SW overlooking the painfully simple. Make a toolbar button for it and they would have to hire 10 more people just to handle the flood of incoming requests :)

SolidWorks RX could be made better by allowing a user to start and stop the recording process without having to crash or close SolidWorks. It could add a line to the swxJRNL.swj Journal file so it can export the correct data to the RX1.zip file and Rx2.zip files.

Like Google&Picasa it should allow the user to add their login info to RX settings so it can log you onto and decode what area to place it under because RX uses Field-Subfield for categorization and Customer Portal has Primary Field, Secondary Field, Tertiary Field.

You can also have your VAR submit your Service Requests by emailing them your RX file and having them deal with it. It's part of what they get paid to do from maintenance fee. They are usually always logged in except for when SolidWorks automatically logs them off every hour.
