Enviormental variable for md nastran

Hello

I`m triying to learn patran but whe I send some analysis to run Patran don´t find the nastran executable the cuestion is. What is the eviormental variable to set up the correct nastran executable location for Patran?????

In fact ,you neednot to set the envirnmental variable.you just click nastran shortcut on desktop,then choose your bdf file to calculate.

To submit your Nastran job from inside Patran, you need to adjust a configuration file so that Patran knows where the Nastran executable file is located. If you've installed Patran and Nastran locally on your workstation, you need to edit the file called P3_TRANS.INI which is located in the Patran install folder on your system. This is a text file, so you can open it using your favorite text editor. Once you examine it, it should be clear to what you need to change.
