Hi,

I´m working in a company that produces filament wound anhydride epoxy-fiberglass pipes. I have to develop a line with aromatic amine epoxy.

For occupational safety issues I seek out a epoxy system MDA free.

Could you help me?

There are aliphatic amines, like DETA, that can be used as the curing agent/hardener for epoxy resins.

Hi CoryPad,

the pipes have a long-term hydrostatic strength requirements (water and temperature). Aliphatic and cycloaliphatic amines systems do not perform as well as aromatic amines

So you want to use an aromatic amine hardener, but not MDA? I would contact Dow and Huntsman for suitable products.

Thanks CoryPad
