As part of my master's work, I'm setting up a HIL simulation of an EPS system-- previous work done by other students used a SIL simulation only.
My main barrier here is the Delphi EPS (made in 1999, used in the Fiat's) that we have in the lab (not sure where it came from...). Anyway, I can't seem to find any technical information on it anywhere (stuff I need to know, like motor ratings, torque sensor calibration information, etc), and from what my supervisor tells me, I won't find any.
So anyway, I see 3 possible solutions:
1) I emailed them to see if they'd give me the full specs if I purchased a unit.
2) Somehow get the Delphi EPS data.
3) Buy the components seperately, and attach them in a pseudo-EPS type system.
ie purchase the assist motor, torsion bar type torque sensor, and gears, and assemble them together.
putting all of that together is far beyond my realm of expertise, however. I'm also not sure if the machining department here at the University would be able to either.
Any suggestions would be welcome,
