I was just wondering where all the utilities in Canada are storing their spare/backup equipment. Specifically, I would like to know the environment that they are being stored in (inside, outside, heated garage, tarp ect.). I am asking about large things like voltage regulators, power transformers, sf6 breakers, reclosers ect. I know in Churchill Falls, backup transformers were stored some twenty years ago outside and they pressurized their units with nitrogen to stop corrosion. We are on the east coast (salt contaminated air) and are looking into proposed locations for long term storage of our equipment.

Thanks for all your help.
