Equipment Vault on Slab on Grade?

Hi all, wanted to get some feedback/thoughts on having a precast equipment vault placed on top existing slab on grade. The equipment is small (~500 lb lateral load, and I assume max 1000 lb dead load). Normally I would anchor vault to the SOG whether through post-installed anchors or dowels, but with the small piece of equipment and the heavier vault, I am wondering if it would be adequate to anchor the equipment to the vault and just have the vault rest on the slab, and size the vault such that friction and gravity will resist sliding and overturning. Wanted to see if you guys had encountered anything like this before. TIA!

The friction is not dependable .. whenever you need the frictional resistance , it will not be there or will be minimum if the vault and SOG may get wet, freezing and then thawing ..

I will suggest you to provide post-installed anchors etc..

Use it up, wear it out;
Make it do, or do without.
