Hi,
I am trying to estimate the cost of equipments for a 85 KVA stand-by diesel generator (in Canada).
Does anybody know that how much it would cost per kWh generation or a totally.
Thanks

You will get about 13 to 14 KWHrs per US gallon of diesel fuel. Double that for hidden expenses and you will be close but you may still be low.
Fully loaded your 85 KVA will produce about 68 kW and consume about 4.4 Imperial gallons per hour.
If your figures don't match check your Imp/US conversion factor. It is very close to 5/6, not the erroneous 4/5 figure found in almost all Canadian high school text books.

Litres will work but you need a lot more.
