Equivalent Education Units (EEU)

I recently completed an online course to earn 12.0 PDHs to satisfy my continuing education requirements for the various state licenses I currently hold.

In addition to the 12 PDH credits, they issued a separate certificate for 1.0 Equivalent Education Units. The certificate confirmed that I had met the EEU requirements for 12 contact hours in 8 sessions and passing at least 7 of 8 unit quizzes plus a final exam.

I have searched in vain for any information on EEU, who requires them, etc.

Does anyone out there know the answer to this?

The AISC uses EEU. It's internal to them only. No board I know of recognizes an EEU.

Eight-session package registrants who attend all sessions (live or recorded), pass 7 of 8 quizzes, and pass the final exam will be awarded 1.0 EEU. An EEU is worth a maximum of 12 PDHs/1.2 CEUs. It does not represent any official equivalent university credit and should not entitle you to credit for university courses as defined in state licensing laws but simply acknowledges that you have done the work to complete a full AISC course.
