Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to ASTM A569 and ASTM A576 spec when it pertains to steel? I cannot find any documents stating otherwise. Or can anyone point me in a direction to buy steel that meets these specs.

Thank you

ASTM A 576 is still an active standard specification for Steel Bars, Carbon, Hot-Wrought, Special Quality. The description indicates that merchant quality hot-wrought carbon steel bars are covered in Specification A 575.

ASTM A 569 is an inactive withdrawn former standard specification for Steel, Carbon (0.15 Maximum, Percent), Hot-Rolled Sheet and Strip Commercial.

A 569 indicates that it was not applicable to the steel covered by Specification A 635/A 635M.

Also see the following:
A 659
A 1011
A 1018

"Withdrawn Standard: A569/A569M-98 Standard Specification for Steel, Carbon (0.15 Maximum, Percent), Hot-Rolled Sheet and Strip Commercial (Withdrawn 2000)

WITHDRAWN, REPLACED BY A1011/A1011M"
