Hello,

There are just a few companies in the USA that builds UL / FM Fire Pumps and lees in the rest of the world, so I suppose in other countries they use other certifications that are equal or even more rigorous than UL / FM.
Could someone help me telling me what will be the equivalent for insurance companies in France, England, Germany, Italy, Spain and Japon.

Also I suppose that if I use a pump certified with the equivalents of UL/FM in the countries mention above, my insurance in the USA will approve them.

Thanks!!

Try calling the insurance carrier and see what they will accept. I worked for a US insurance carrier that has offices around the globe, we used NFPA regardless of the location of the risk. BUT all carriers are different so you got to ask. See if you can contact Loss Control and or engineering department or the insurance agent/broker. On many overseas insurance programs you have a lead carrier that provides a certain % of the coverage and follow carrier that pick up a % of the remaining coverage.
