Equivilant ASTM bar spec to A516?

I am trying to specify the material for door handles and no stress lugs etc.

ASTM A516 is plate. What is the equivilant for bar? ASTM A675???

What is the spec for general purpose readily availible round and flat bar for vessel handles and attachments etc?

You can specify A / SA-36 for non-pressure containing things as you described. Very common material.

I would go with the A/SA-36 as well, but if you are looking for equivalent strength, go with the 675.
