Hello,
I am coming up with an erosion control plan for a construction site on the summit of a mountain. The soil is thin in some places (12" at most) and is mostly comprised of ledge/rock. The area is an alpine zone, and there are concerns for the integrity of the flora of the area. Because of this, hay bales are not to be used, and my thoughts now lean towards silt fencing. Are there devices to drive silt fencing into rock? Are they easy to use/effective/economic? Are there any alternative sediment control products/techniques out there that I should be looking at instead? Hope you can help.
Thanks,
Shane
