Hello,
I have a journal as user command and I want to use a keyboard shortcut key with it but, once set-up the keyboard shortcut, a message show up:
"Error reading Journal, C:\Users|User1\Journal.vb, File open failed".
Some code lines are needed in the journal or fix some settings?

Best Regards

DavidQ,

The text in the posting appears to suggest that the command definition may have a typographical error.
The directory separator between "Users" and "User1" appears to be the result of unintended uppercase for the
"\".

C:\Users|User1\Journal.vb

was probably meant to be

C:\Users\User1\Journal.vb

Thank you for your prompt response. As you said I made a typo while I was writing the error massages (as an example), attached is the actual message as jpg file.

BTW, keyboard shortcut used Ctrl+Shift+Enter.
Best regards

If you run it without the shortcut, and browse to the file, does that work?
Menu > Tools > Journal > Play

Hello markrief,
Yes, it works fine if I browse to the file and using a customize button.

Best Regards

I'm using NX9.0.3.4.
Tools > Customize > Commands Tab > Keyboard... From Customize Keyboard, Specify a command, Categories:
Scroll all the way down to My Buttons > My User Commands, from Commands select journal, Press new shortcut key.
