Error while configuring an Excel component

I am trying to use the Insert Excel Component function in Mathcad. But after I have specified the number of input and output variables, I get the following error message: "The Excel application was not successfully started. You will not be able to run this component".

I have previously (but on another computer) used the Insert Excel Component function in Mathcad with success.

I now use Excel 2003 and Mathcad 14. Anyone know how to fix this problem?
