Esfr Sprinkler Criteria

Hi friends..

On what basis we propose ESFR Sprinkler in warehouse ?What are minimum criteria to select to ESFR sprinkler system while designing a ware house ?

See NFPA 13 for details,you will need a strong water supply, a flat roof, building height a max of 45', not all products can be protected by ESFR what are you trying to protect. No open top containers, no solid shelves, must coordinate obstructions presented by bar joist, bridging, lighting, electric conduit, etc etc.

Yikes. Are you asking this question as a designer? Take the time to study and learn the basics of these systems. I have been off the board for awhile. It seems many of these questions are very fundamental, and from persons outside the US? We all go through a learning curve in our careers, but I get the impression that people in other parts of the world (Middle East?) are designing and specifying without adequate experience and/or education.

Btw, i prefere VdS which is much more demanding than NFPA (only nominal K200 and K360, are allowed) but it is much easier to understand VdS than NFPA.

So zubinsha, find or buy last VdS CEA 4001en : 2010-11 (04) and read Annex L for ESFR.
note also that for Tyco and Viking
Application of sprinkler shall be agreed with VdS during planning of the installation !!!!
