Curious...has anyone come accross an escutcheon or such that would provide a 'finished' look when trimming ESFRs (1" thread) in a ceiling?
Thanks in advance.

Nope. Never seen an ESFR sprinkler designed with escutcheon plate.

I am aware of the Tyco K=11.2 sprinkler that has an escutcheon plate (I believe they call it their "casino sprinkler") but not an ESFR sprinkler.

Thank you for the replies!

I checked out the UMX site but it appears they only have 1/2" and 3/4" (like the other manufacturers I've seen). I've sent an email to see if they provide a 1" variety.
I'm looking for a 'donkey dick' style:) that would be for a 1" sprinkler and allow the deflector the minimum 6" below the ceiling.
The last time I came across ESFRs in a ceiling, we ended up caulking the pipe at the ceiling and having some of the pipe exposed. Not the most attractive:) but since they were 25'+ ceilings in a storage occupancy it wasn't objected to. I would like to find a better way of doing it if something was feasible while maintaining accordance with the standards and sprinkler listing.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the suggestions cdafd. The wall plates would probably help asethics somewhat but i was looking for some thing like the picture attached - but for 1" sprinklers. I guess these could be drilled out. Just thought there might have been something out there for that exact purpose. Thanks again.

ok

have not seen esfrs below a ceiling, but anyway have you called the maker seems like you should not be the only one with the question

Thanks cdafd. I have enquiries into some suppliers. I was unable to find anything on any of thier websites which are usually pretty up to date these days.
