Estimating ESALs for construction road

I've never done any road design and I'm curious how one would go about estimating the ESALs for design of a construction road.

What kind of load designation is a common dumptruck used in construction? How does that equate to ESALs? What about load designation/ESALs for a semi-truck?

So, basically, if I know how long construction will take and how many trucks will travel the road each day, then I can get an estimate for ESALs?
