I am trying to estimate the operating costs of the installation of a few new DX units. There are many detailed models that can do this, however I just need to get a quick number together. I have average monthly temps for a 2 year period, the units are selected, and the energy costs is $.09/KW.
Is there a way to estimate quickly with this info? maybe using hte IPLV of the units?
Any info will help.

Kw/Ton = 12/SEER or EER

Assume 2000 full load hours per year.

$/yr = Kw/ton x tons x 2000 x $0.09/kwh
