Im working on a process that makes a suspension in a 2000l tank using a 4 multiple impeller system working at 40 rps. (3 pitch impellers and a curved blade impeller at the bottom)
Given viscosities densities of all raw materials and the size of the powder particles (there is not chemical reaction), and knowing the entire tank geometry, would it be possible to theoretically calculate the time it should take for the suspension to be completly homogenous. Time is currently set at 16 hours of stirring and these seems way too long. Need to see if we can reduce the stirring time and we cant really do any experiments or trial runs, so it needs to be all theoretical. Any help!!???
