ETABS O/S #52 1

Good Afternoon all,

Have any of you run into O/S #52 in the ETABS concrete design module? I've got a handful of columns that are coming back overstressed but it doesn't quite make sense based on the loading and the height. I.e. only a few are failing but there are a bunch of other columns just like it that are fine, trib areas for these particular columns are fairly small. I can't seem to find a comprehensive list of the O/S # on the CSI website (or anywhere else). Any tips?

I'd appreciate any help.

Yep... Just realized the O/S explanation was on Pg 2 of the details... Looks like a slenderness issue I guess.

@Rich242 Umm, yes and no (mostly no) basically, I asked my supervisor about it and he said he had a way to fix it, and working it out is on a long list of things to do before the next submission. But I basically think it goes back to the bracing conditions/slenderness issue. But I'll let you know once I discuss it with my supervisor again.
