Hi all

For Euro code, i only know geotechnical design for 1.3DL+1.5LL and 1.0DL+1.3LL.

Where can i find the Bore pile geogechnical capacity formula and factors for load combination with seismic action. I am talking about vertical direction.

Sometimes seismic produce very big overturn moment on the core wall, cause pile vertical action very big.

thanks

The answer varies depending on the pile type, soil conditions ( end bearing to rock ..etc ), static proof test and no. of proof tests...

In the absence of static proof test, the allowable load on a single pile from the calculated ultimate load are calculated with adopting γf = 2.5–3

In case of seismic action, you can increase the Qsafe with a factor 1.33.
