Euronorm or pubs equivalent to American RCSC (structural bolts) guide? 1

I find Research Council on Structural Connections doing a great job on guiding use of structural bolts in US(A325,A490 and F1852)

Is there an equivalent or similar Council or publication in Eurocodes? One that covers grade 8.8 and 10.9 in great detail?

Really looking for that and your help is highly appreciated.

What type of guidance does the research council offer? It would be useful to know what sort of information you are looking for.

I mean there are EN standards which give the mechanical properties, thread details etc. There are EN standards which give you ways to calculate the bolt capacity. There are supporting documents which give guidance on the connection as a whole.

RCSC is a special research committee that specializes only on structural bolts and its board members are mostly the same people who carry out research and write the AISC code, including people like Jeoffrey Kulak and Fisher.

Information published by AISC includes materials,grades,capacities, suface preparation, application, design equations, discussion on use and misuse in static and dynamic applications etc.

These publications are simply very extensive.

They are independent of the AISC steel code and AISC makes use,refers to and invokes RCSC guides.

I use DD-ENV-1993-1-1, the great European steel construction code. I am aware that there are great annexes in The Eurocodes. But I can not find detailed publications similar to RCSC(bolts) or AWS(welding)

I will be glad if you point out them to me.

The DD code is a 'draft for discussion'. The precursor to the issued Eurocodes. I expect a lot of the information you are looking for would be in Eurocode 3 EN 1993-1-8 which is the part specific to joints. It cover all types of joints not just bolts but is quite comprehensive.

I am not sure of the equivalent EN specification but I could try an find it if it helps, but BS 4190 and 3692 are specifications for bolt grades. BS 3643 gives information on bolt threads etc.
