This is addressed to geotechnical engineers working in the European Union.
Do you regard EN ISO 14688 -1 and 2, Geotechnical investigation and testing – Identification and classification of soil, as “normative” or as an example of what should be taken into account when writing national standards? The numerical values and terminology (at least in the English version) do not agree with those commonly used, and the text contains contradictions (regarding what is considered non-plastic, for one).
